Random Acts Of Floral Kindness | Our Journey With Wedding Blooms After The Wedding Day

Jul 2, 2018

Ever Wondered What To Do With Your Wedding Flowers After Your Special Day?

You aren’t alone if you have! Flowers are truly gorgeous, and they make your event that much more special. However, after the wedding day there isn’t usually much to do with 20+ centerpieces, bouquets, items from installations and more! For about 2 years now, we have been doing this small random act of kindness, and not only does it give me the opportunity to give back in a small way to our local communities, but it is a great way to bond with my children and include them in this business.

At the end of a wedding night {with the bride and grooms blessing!} we load up all of the arrangements that are left. Usually moms, grandmas and aunts would like at least one, and some are sent to a brunch for the next day, but there are still a ton left over! We take those gorgeous blooms and bring them home, then over the next two days we prepare new arrangements in small vases. Certain types of flowers don’t last the heat and the weekend, so we hand select items that are still thriving and shining! Once we have completed all of our arrangements, we take them to a local nursing home, hospital, retirement community etc. to brighten a few days!

After this weekends past wedding, Andrea and Derek so kindly allowed us to do this with their flowers, and it was so amazing to see the looks on the faces of the recipients as the kids delivered their flowers. I hope you enjoy these photos of Bella creating her masterpieces, and 2 of our sweet sweet happy recipients!

If you are an Ever After couple and are interested in having us donate and repurpose your wedding flowers just let us know!! We would love to give your blooms another day to give joy to others!
