Mayra + David | Franchesco’s Ristorante, Rockford Illinois
We began planning with Mayra and David from the very beginning. They both desired an event design that captured elegance and romance paired with timeless details.
We had a theme that felt very resemblant of the 20’s and 30’s, which made Franchesco’s the perfect setting for their wedding. Pairing their ballroom for dinner and Frank’s room for cocktail hour, we incorporated a multitude of gold and champagne details, as well as a saxophonist playing through dinner and cocktails.
As Mayra + David’s full-service planners, we assisted them in curating the perfect vendor team for their day. We knew almost instantly that Rachael Osborn Photography would be an amazing match to both their personalities and their day. For florals and cake we went with the amazing talents of Candice Hart of Pollen and Pastry to create an elegant and grand cake, as well as beautiful spring bouquets filled with the most gorgeous of blooms. One of our favorite details of the day, was the car that we hired to transport the bride and groom around for portraits and to the ceremony, and reception.
The Morning Of The Wedding
We began the morning at their home with Mayra. Maggie Love arrived on site to create the perfect bridal look. We love when couples decide to get ready somewhere that allows them to be comfortable and relaxed! Shortly after, the photographer, videographer, and family members arrived at the house. While hair and make up was wrapping up, Rachael Osborn and Juan Alvarado captured all of the couple’s details. We then moved right into getting Mayra into her beautiful wedding gown and off into the car!
Mayra and David chose not to see each other before the ceremony. We personally adore when couples opt out of a first look. There just isn’t much that tops the look on a groom’s face when he sees his bride for the first time at the end of the aisle. Their ceremony was filled with sweet words and details at St. Bridgette’s Church in Loves Park!
After the ceremony they headed to Sinnissippi Park for newlywed photographs. The park made the perfect backdrop for some absolutely dreamy photos!
The couple then headed to Franchesco’s. Once they arrived we tucked them back into the bridal suite to enjoy some food. We even caught a glimpse of them practicing their first dance in the hall!
The couple practiced for months to perform a choreographed dance, that had every eye in the room on them! After entering the reception, they performed their dance, cut their cake, and listened to a sweet song sung to the two of them by Mayra’s daughter.
After dinner, the party began!
You really can not top the party that Luxe Productions provides, and their dance floor was full up until the very end.
We also had an amazing and unique photobooth from Spotlight Photobooth, cupcakes from Sugar Jones, and late night pizza from Franchesco’s.
Their wedding was timeless, classic, and absolute blast. So full of love, life and laughter.
We can not begin to express how thankful we are to have been a part of it!
