My journey to this business was a long and winding one, but I am so glad that it led me here. In 2014 I decided to leave that career path in medicine, to pursue a fulfilling (and slightly terrifying) career as a business owner and wedding planner. I honestly have the best job in the world though. I mean it. Though you’ll hardly notice me when it counts, I will have a front row seat for the happiest day of your life.
I will squeal in excitement with you as you slip into your dress. I will cry when you walk down the aisle to your best friend, I’ll cheer when you have your first kiss as husband and wife, and dance with you when the celebration begins.
And when all is said and done, I will do everything in my power to make sure that your day goes off without a hitch. I want you to enjoy a day that is stress free and full of love and memories.

"I BELIEVE EVERY MOMENT OF YOUR WEDDING DAY SHOULD BE CELEBRATED AND CHERISHED."

So many "about me" pages of websites start out with how much they always dreamed of this career. Well, beautiful, that was not me. If I am being honest, I never pictured myself to wind up in this field. In high school I dreamed of becoming an Ag Teacher and after graduation I wound up going to school for 4 years of Nursing classes, EMT-B certifications and Paramedic Courses, I eventually wanted to be a doctor.

Read My Love Story

It's a good one, I promise!

Most days you will find me sitting on the couch in yoga pants, a sassy graphic t-shirt, and a top knot sipping on either a Dr. Pepper or a McDonald's fountain Coke. I split my work between the studio and home so about 60% of the time you can also hear the soft, sweet sounds of my 7 and 4 year old screaming at each other. Lunch is usually served up gourmet style at home. Macaroni and Cheese with Hot Dogs cut up, Beef Ramen Noodles, or Taco's are a fan favorite over here.

I love to fill the walls of our home with my crazy Spotify playlists((paired with terrible singing from yours truly)), a good John Williams soundtrack on my record player, or a Grey's Anatomy binge on Netflix. My husband is also a business owner, so when his work day ends anywhere between 3 pm and 10 pm you can find us curled up for a family movie or kicking each others butts in a video game. This is also the time where I am finally able to binge watch "our" shows with him. Shameless, The Office, OITNB, Game Of Thrones and Smallville can only be watched together.

On weekends when Sean isn't working or we aren't on site at a wedding, we are either going on a day adventure ((usually to eat and see a movie)) or hanging out at home just enjoying  a weekend off. We do love to travel though, so we love to plan 1-2 trips per year. We plan to soak in as many years as possible at Disney World while our kids still love it. Which while in Orlando, we will never say no to a day spent on Diagon Alley at Universal Studios (Drinking all of the frozen butterbeers I can in one day). Since I was a small child I lived in the pages of the Harry Potter books, and I am proud to say that I not only am raising two kids who adore the movies and books, but I converted my husband to be a HP lover as well.

December 5th 2014

After 2 years together,
This guy decides to ask a pretty important question....

To Which I said...

December 5th 2014

Heck Yes!
...Obviously.

From There On Out...

Engaged!

...It was Ring Selfies and Shameless Wedding Planning Posts ON Facebook.

Then...

We Set a Date!

We Set a date and had everything booked in 2 weeks.

Then...

The Wedding party

We immediately asked our closest friends to stand next to us on the biggest day of our lives.

Gifting is truly my love language, so I went all out and delivered the girls their gifts in person!

Then...

February 2015

We sent out our save the dates at the end of february with the help of sean's high school best friend and Best Woman for the wedding.

I could not wait to get those babies in the mailbox.

Pro Tip | I mailed them out over a span of 4 days in batches to avoid them all getting lost.

The Journey Continues.

March 2015

I said Yes to the dress the week after we got engaged.

March 2015 I got to pick my dream dress up!

I told you, it was all ring selfies and planning updates.

The Journey Continues.

April 2015

We attended our First wedding as the Future Mr. + Mrs. Williams in april of 2015.

This was honestly the most exciting time of my life.

Then...

April 2015

I went to meet with our travel agent to begin planning our honeymoon.

neither sean nor i had ever flown on a plane, let alone been to the beach, so this was going to be an adventure!

Until...

Spring 2015

Everything started to fall apart.
It was a slow process. Between friends, bridal party stresses, and all of the family issues you can imagine, we began to wonder if all the stress was truly worth it.

We started to fight all of the time. With our friends, with each other, with our parents. It was awful.

So...

June 3 2015

We cancelled The Whole thing.

So...

Sean and I had so much love for each other and over the past 6 months it had been obvious that something was holding us back from true happiness when it came to our wedding planning. I know he loves me, I know he wants to marry me, but something was not right. Recently as planning continued, it was obvious that this just wasn't right. Various recent bumps in the road made both of us put some very serious thought into the decisions we had made. I was never a girl who sat back and planned every detail of my wedding, I didn't have things decided in my mind, but I knew I wanted it to be beautiful, peaceful, stress free and with a man That I was devoting spending the rest of my life with.

June 3 2015

We Booked The wedding of Our Dreams

Then...

We decided to do something a little less traditional. Together with our children and two best friends we planned to pack up in January and head to a week in paradise at Atlantis in Nassau Bahamas. Swimming with the Dolphins, water slides, beaches, and marrying the man of my dreams on the beach in paradise at sunset.

It couldn't get any better than that.

June 2015

Save The Dates... Round 2

However...

We booked a wedding shower so that those that genuinely wanted to celebrate this time in our lives with us, could.
We even went as far as to invite everyone that received a Save The Date, including a card explaining the situation to our friends and family.

July 2015

Believe it or not...

BuT Then...

It didn't get any better.
I'm not sure how, but it got worse.
I never thought the fighting could have gotten worse, but it did.
We had nightly phone calls with family where we were treated terribly, which ended with Sean and I staying awake until 2 am fighting about it.

July 2015

Then Came..

Our Passports arrived!
Only 6 more months until he is my husband!

August 16th 2015

And...

Our Wedding Shower.
We invited all 200 guests, out of those 200 invited, only 20 people came to the party.

The day was filled with a nice amount of drama, a few tears, and a lot of fighting.... but.. I got to smash cake in his face, so that makes up for it.

August 16th 2015

But Then...

Let's take a moment to just soak in how handsome my future hubby was as we were leaving the shower.
He was going to be all mine in 5 short months!

January couldn't get here soon enough to fly off to paradise together!

August 26th 2015

Say What?

Enough was enough.
at 11:00 pm we drove in to Chicago and stayed at our hotel.
4 am the next morning, there we were at O'Hare Airport, getting ready to board a plane for the first time ever.

August 26th 2015

We Made It....

August 27th 2015

Say What?

Thursday was full of relaxing on the beach, soaking in the sound of the waves, the gorgeous blue water, and the white sand beaches.

We had so much fun, and for the first time in a year, felt so stress free.

August 28th 2015

We Did it!

I Jordan take you Sean to be my best friend, my faithful partner, and my one true love. I promise to encourage you, inspire you, and love you truly through good times and bad,

The Ever After Team

Ciera

Ciera has been with us since Fall of 2016. She has proven to be an irreplaceable part of the Ever After team. Whether is be assisting with design and decor, executing timelines, or adjusting the train of your dress, she will be there all along the way.
When she is not planning weddings, Ciera is spending time with her hubby and 3 kiddos!

Sean

Our company would not be complete without this guy. When he isn't helping Jordan grow her business behind the scenes, he is running errands, perfecting wedding day details, and keeping tabs on the groom + groomsmen. Whether it be reminding the team to eat and drink (you will always find Sean asking about food) or handling vendor relations, Sean will be there to help perfect the day.
