I never envisioned myself as a wedding designer, but then again, how many of us truly always knew exactly what we wanted? Rewind my life about 8 years or so and you would find a girl who was elbows deep (sometimes literally) in her education to become a Paramedic and dreaming of going to medical school to become an ER doctor. All the while working 14+ hour night shifts in the ER, missing my babies (and sleep, lots of sleep), and making a small amount of money in exchange for the job and hours I was putting in.
Fast forward through meeting the love of my life, 2 babies, and an engagement story fit for a Netflix drama and you have a girl standing in her kitchen telling her husband-to-be she wants to quit her job at the hospital to plan weddings for brides and grooms so that nobody ever has to feel how we did.
Since my hubby also owns his own business he didn't really believe in turning me down. So, it happened. Ever After was born in my kitchen, on a Wednesday, the day after I cancelled my wedding and booked a dream elopement.
Crazy how life can lead us in such mysterious ways huh? Aside from wedding planning I can usually be found rockin' a top knot, yoga pants, and a sassy graphic tee while balancing motherhood, business ownership, and everything in between! When I'm not planning beautiful celebrations I can usually be found wandering the aisles of Target on a date night, playing video or board games with the family, taking a power nap, or watching something great on Netflix or Hulu (most likely Grey's Anatomy, The Good Doctor, This Is Us, or Riverdale.
Wife to Sean & Momma to my sweet Dayton (bug) and darling Bella (Shmelly, don't ask where the nickname came from)
Snacks are never in low supply in my house (especially chips and queso), I guess thats what happens when you work from home. And honestly, is there any better way to spend your day than with HP in the background?
Want to have a first look? Awesome. Sweet. Let's do it. Been dreaming of seeing that sweet face for the first time ever when the chapel doors open? I love it. Either way will work. Don't let anyone pressure you in to one or the other. It is your day, we will make everything work!
Your at-a-glance guide to where I stand on all the truly important things.
Behind every great wedding we produce, you will find my husband, Sean. He is my greatest resource when it comes to a perfectly aligned escort card table, heavy duty installations, keeping the groom and his guys on task, and being my runner & heavy lifter.
Without fail, we are always asked "Why wedding planning?" "Why a wedding design company?" The answer for us is simple...
To allow you a beautiful and stress free journey from the moment you say "Yes!" until the beautiful send off at the end of a beautiful wedding night. We want every couple that joins our family to have what we didn't, an engagement as beautiful as your wedding. While we eloped (and don't get me wrong it was every bit beautiful) we wouldn't wish our engagement journey on anyone, so as long as you are with us we promise to be your advocates and defend your unique love story.
